Drugstore Makeup Haul

Hello, everybody! Today we are doing a haul! I caught up with a girlfriend over dinner, and the topic of discussion was just a little depressing. What is a girl to do in this situation? Besides relying on my Lord Jesus Christ to bring me through my struggles, I also stopped by the nearest drugstore and went on a little shopping haul! Of course, I had

For starters, I decided to try out the Loreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder in the color 310 light ivory. I have been very fond of the Loreal True Match Lumi Foundation. It is perfect for anyone looking for a full coverage foundation at a cheap price. I have, however, heard several beauty gurus talking about the Loreal Magic Nude and wanted to try it out. If you watch the video below, you can see how it appears to be more of a medium coverage foundation. Based on personal preferences, this may be the perfect foundation for some, while the Loreal True Match may continue to be the match for others.

Moving on to the Garnier eye rollers, I haven’t gotten much sleep in the past couple of days. I’ve developed some major puffiness under the eyes. I bought two products: the Garnier skin renew anti-puff eye roller and the Garnier BB eye roller. Both are said to reduce puffiness and eliminate dark circles. The Garnier skin renew anti-puff eye roller gives a cold, soothing sensation when rolled onto the skin. It reminds me of the feeling you get when you place cucumbers on your eyes during a good, revitalizing facial. The Garnier BB eye roller has a ballpoint tip that is used to roll bb cream onto the skin. I got it in the color fair/light. I got a little excited with it during filming, so it’s definitely a product I’m looking forward to using.

I also purchased the Loreal True Match super-blendable powder in the color C8 cocoa. I know what you guys are thinking, “Cheryl, that color is way to dark for your complexion.” Here’s the thing: I’m not going to use it as a powder. I purchased it because I wanted to try it out as a bronzer. I am always on the look out for matte bronzers because the majority of the ones I find have some kind of shimmer/glitter in it. I feel like my face already gets more than enough shimmer with blushes and highlighters. When it comes to bronzers, I really appreciate finding a nice matte color because it’s not very common. We’ll see how this works out.

Then I picked up the Loreal Magic Perfecting Base Face Primer. I was extremely surprised by the texture of it. It seems a bit caky. I literally feel like I’m putting frosting on my face. I’m not sure if that’s normal, but I was definitely taken back by it. I’ve seen a bunch of beauty gurus wearing all types of primers, though, so I thought I would just jump on the bandwagon and explore. Stay tuned for makeup tutorials to see how this product ends up working out.

Now, I stopped by the section of e.l.f. cosmetics, and let me tell you. Every single time I pass by that section, the brushes are completely gone. This time, there was one brush left over. So, of course I had to get it. They are so inexpensive, and I’m curious to see why. If this blending eye brush turns out to be a good buy, I will definitely be ordering more online.

I’m not much of an eyelash person. I kind of just focus all my attention on getting a good mascara and work with what God gave me. I just feel like eyelashes feel so foreign and unnatural on the face. This purchase was mostly just for experimenting purposes. I realize these are drugstore lashes and will probably not produce very promising results, but I was open to the idea at the time. Happy experimenting.

The following are just a couple of random buys I had to include in my haul, since I was aware they would probably end up on my monthly favorites. I didn’t want to mention things in my monthly favorites that you had never heard about before. I randomly picked up this cute journal that was lying around screaming my name saying, “Cheryl, buy me!” So, I did. It has cute little glasses, a mustache, and a bowtie both on the outside and inside of the pages. I loved it.

Then, one of my good friends got me a cute little candle from Bath and Body Works in the scent “pumpkin apple.” The scent was absolutely amazing, considering I’m not very fond of smells. I’m very picky with the kind of smells I allow into my life, haha. So, the fact that I fell in love with this scent should not be taken lightly.

Finally, I went to the end of the season sale at Express. They were having a 40% off already reduced prices sale. Absolutely insane! I picked up this cute light pink blouse pictured below. It was originally priced at $44.90, but I was able to get it for $12.98! Yes, you guys read right. It was a great buy, and I’m so excited to wear it. Plus, it’s reversible. I don’t think it gets any better than that.

Enjoy the video below, and let me know if you guys have used any of these products. Tell me all about your favorite drugstore makeup products, and let me know what you think of the products I purchased. Don’t forget to put our Lord, Jesus Christ, first in every single aspect of your life and happiness will always find its way to your heart. It always starts and ends with Him.
