Little Black Dress
I received several compliments on this look this past weekend, so I decided to post it up on the blog. For me, comfort is key. I don’t really see the point in getting all dolled up and then not even being able to show off my hard work because I’m in five inch heels and can’t stand for more than two minutes at a time. Some women are blessed and can rock them for an entire day and still have enough energy to continue through the night #BossStatus, but for those of us who aren’t as skilled, I felt it was important to share a universal go-to look: the little black dress.
I recently went to New Orleans, Louisiana with some friends (p.s. travel vlog coming soon on my YouTube channel) and purchased this super cute black sleeveless jersey dress from H&M. For those of you who follow me on Snapchat (@cheryldeni), you were able to witness everything first-hand. However, I’m posting it here now with full details and my thoughts on this new buy.
Every woman needs a little black dress to add into their wardrobe. It’s the full package. For instance, I was able to dress it up over the weekend with JustFab’s faux suede black strapped heels, a staple signature look, or dress it down for a comfortable look while out on Bourbon Street throughout my travels in NOLA. My friend, Luz, was amused at the fact that I was so uncomfortable wearing flats with a dress. I had never done it before! Nonetheless, I adjusted and ended up loving it. I personally loved that this dress came with a high neckline which provided a really classy, chic look no matter what shoes I wore. Overall, I love this basic yet chic look and plan to load my closet with many more solids over the next few months.
Always remember that you don’t need to kill yourself to look great, and less is always more. Details and more below.
